Due Diligence for Small Hydropower Projects and Implementation Monitoring

In this due diligence, each project candidate was analysed, not only in terms of technical and environmental components, but legal and social components as well. The Project Management consisted of four major parts: planning; organization; execution; and control.

Monitoring procedures passed through the following stages: project consultation for each specific item (hydro technical, environmental, electrical, mechanical, legal, etc.); drafting a social-environmental managing program, which was based on the consultancy findings and conclusions to reduce potential implementation risks; HSE; training  of employees and contractors; biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of natural resources; and a cultural heritage impact assessment.
