John Hughes
Chairman

John Hughes is an experienced Non-Executive Director specialising in non-technical risk mitigation and successful management of strategy & governance internationally. He chairs numerous Boards and a range of Committees, including Audit and Strategic Risk, and leads Board interventions to create new systems for strategic risk management. John had a lengthy career at BP where he became an expert in the management of political and non-technical risk & external affairs, including strategic problem-solving, the provision of independent advice to executives and the development of international teams.
Eloide Grant Goodey
Board Member

Elodie is a social performance professional with 20 years’ experience in social policy, human rights, societal risk assessment, corporate responsibility and government and civil society relations. She worked as Head of Communications for BP’s Upstream business and as Communications and External Affairs Director for BP’s North Africa business. Previously, Elodie worked for the BBC World Service and volunteered for a number of human rights NGOs. More recently, she worked on stakeholder engagement in Albania and Greece, on labour influx issues in Uganda, on supply chain risks globally, on human rights due diligence globally and on socio-economic impact analysis in Chad.
Anton Mifsud-Bonnici
Board Member

Anton Mifsud-Bonnici is a 25-year plus public and private sector professional, focusing on societal, political and non-linear risks. He specialises in constructing corporate messages, and project-manages campaigns ensuring alignment between business and public affairs strategies.
David Nyheim
Board Member

David Nyheim is the Chief Executive of ECAS and Managing Partner.  He is also the Chairman of INCAS Consulting Ltd. (Malta). He has extensive experience in dialogue process design and facilitation, stabilisation strategy development, early warning and risk assessment, and work on armed violence reduction. Prior to joining ECAS, he served for six years as the Director of the Forum for Early Warning and Early Response (FEWER) and held several policy and research positions in the European Commission and universities (Belgium and United Kingdom).
