A prestigious partnership with SOCAR to pioneer the supplying of natural gas

Diversified energy sources are vital in economic development. For this reason, Abkons is thrilled with the partnership with SOCAR, the Azerbaijani energy leader operating in 20 countries with a workforce of over 66,000, to pioneer the transformation of Korçë through the establishment of a natural gas distribution network.

Together, we embarked on a comprehensive Feasibility Study to assess the technical and economic viability of supplying natural gas to potential consumers in the Albanian south-eastern city, ensuring informed decision-making and successful project implementation.

Representatives of SOCAR were in our offices, discussing on the step towards fostering innovation and progress in the energy landscape of Korçë. If successful, this partnership will make it the first fully gasified city in Albania, a milestone amplified by its strategic connection to the TAP infrastructure. This partnership reflects our shared values of integrity, sustainability, and dedication to advancing communities.
